FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Rental procedure

We at Gosau Ski Rental recommend that you rent from the professionals! Why?

If you rent from acquaintances and friends the following issues may arise:

  1. Who attaches the binding correctly and accepts responsibility for this?
  2. What costs are incurred by the subsequent ski service; your friend
  3. will certainly want the skies returned in a maintained and serviced condition.
  4. More costs will be incurred when the ski binding is re-adjusted to the
  5. friend's ski boots.
  6. What is agreed, if the skis are stolen?
  7. If the equipment is damaged, what fair value will be paid?

Therefore, we recommend that you hire rental material in top condition from us!

Rental equipment will be available only on presentation of photo ID once you have registered at our CHECK-IN TERMINAL. We need your name, date of birth, address of your accommodation, size, weight, level of competence!

Basically we always have rental goods in stock in our ski rental shop. However, when there is increased demand (holidays, week-eds) the newer models and the top of the range models are quickly snapped up. So, if you have special requirements (top-range skis, touring skis), be sure to reserve!

In addition, reserving ONLINE saves time! This is because the usual 'check in' or recording of personal data has been done already. The equipment is also prepared and ready for issue to the individual. This saves even more time! You have less time to wait and are more quickly on the slopes!

The date selected in the booking system is the date, on which you receive your equipment. You can collect it from 4 pm on the previous day.
For example: 1st day of rental: 6th February. The customer may collect his equipment as from 4 pm on 5th February.

The date selected in the booking system is the date of your last day of skiing. You may return your equipment by 10 am on the following day.
For example: Last day of rental: 12th February. The customer may return his equipment by 10 am on 13th February.

You must enter the code on the first page of our booking system: Here you can redeem a promotion code.

Our shop has a sufficiently large and diverse stock to be able to find the right sizes for every customer. Your comfort and safety are our priorities. There is no need to pay a surcharge, if the equipment category hired out corresponds to that which you have reserved. If you should change the category, we can correct the fees directly in our local shop.

No, you have the choice to reserve with or without helmet. In Austria children and adolescents up to the age of 15 years MUST BY LAW wear a helmet.

At any time! If you notice on the slopes that the boots are uncomfortable, please come back to the shop to see us. We will exchange the boots for another model and will not let you go until you feel absolutely comfortable, Because ultimately we want you to enjoy yourself on the slopes. (while stocks last)

There are a variety of reasons why online payment cannot be made. In most cases it helps if you try the procedure again after a short time. If it still does not work, please try the following:

  • Refresh your browser
  • Please access our website in another browser and log on once more (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari…).
  • Try on another terminal or with another credit card, if possible.

If none of this helps, please send an e-mail to verleih(at)skigosau.at with a screen shot of the step, at which the payment process blocked and a short description of what happened. We will check whether the payment was successful and try to find a solution as quickly as possible.
