Off-slope skiing

Freeride – Skiing or snowboarding down the slopes can be an extreme sport, but it does not have to be. It is much more about finding the ideal descent and track – the important thing is that it is fun. The skier or snowboarder decides for himself the degree of difficulty of the descent. With the Dachstein West ski region, the Freeride Arena Krippenstein and the Dachstein glacier the Dachstein Mountains offer all the conditions to enable everyone depending on their skiing ability to experience the fun of descending the piste. The minimum requirement is good skiing or snowboarding skills on the piste.

Our trained snow sports instructors refine your technique, both in the slalom and in the giant slalom. We also offer special technique training for racing skiers to improve their skiing technique on and off piste.
Our training programme is based on the principles of the Austrian ski instructor education programme and the Austrian trainer education programme.
